| Conurbation Gorizia, town of millenary foundation, at the foot of Prealpi Giulie, joined to the west with the Friuli Plain. After the Second World War the town is divided into two parts by creating the new Italian-Yugoslavian border, close to the transalpine railway line, assigned to Yugoslavia.That's why now the town is the natural centre of new geopolitical systems looking to the Eastern Countries, to other cultures and new markets. Meanwhile, the old town has become dense prejudicing the rational urban design of many town sectors. Since 2001, by the new Town-planning, the town has reorganizing potentialities of high quality. |
